KI protects watershed and sets Consultation Protocol through referendum

On July 5 KI voted overwhelmingly in favour of protecting our entire watershed from all industry activity, and approving the KI Consultation Protocol which sets out how KI consent will be given prior to any decision being made affecting our KI’s lands and resources.


KI calls on McGuinty to stop mining exploration on sacred burials

KI Chief Donny Morris is urgently calling on Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty to intervene to stop mining exploration activity on a sacred KI ancestral burial site.  Mining exploration company God’s Lake Resources has staked new claims in violation of KI’s well publicized moratorium and has worked the site in spite of being informed that multiple sacred KI graves are within the claim area.


KI calls for joint panel to resolve dispute
